I bought this product for new Samsung cell phones that we recently purchased. This was a great idea that i fortunately got from other reviewers on the life of cell phone batteries. My advice is get one of these batteries if you travel a lot or use your phone a great deal. We now use the battery that came with the phone as a back up. And this system works great. We find the new backing that comes with the battery makes the phone easier to hang on to. We dont find any inconvenience whatsoever. We love the fact that the phone is not constantly being charged. Great product. Recommend it highly.

I bought this to replace the aging battery on my Vibrant, with Cyanogenmod 7 it was getting to 70% by lunch time (just sitting there, I only use my phone over lunch), and down to 50-60% by the time I got home. If I used it at all in the evening it was sure to go dead by midnight. Now, I am usually about 95% at lunch, and in the mid to high 80's by the time I go home, depending on lunch usage. Its only gone all the way dead on me once and that was after 2 days of what I would consider heavy use. (Mind you I don't use my phone that much, but this time I was gone for a weekend using it to find my way round and browse quite a bit).

If you are concerned about the added thickness, don't be. I don't have a case but prefer to use the soft sleeve from my old G1, and with the thicker battery it still fits into the sleeve, it was a bit tight at first but it has stretched out a bit and fits fine now. And like others have said, it makes the phone a bit easier to grip. I can't feel any difference with the phone in my front hip pocket.

My only complaint would be that the coating on the cover has already begun to peel, but just barely and only along the bottom edge of the phone. A lot of people seem to prefer the soft coating, which is nice, but I would rather have metal or the stock hard shiny plastic for durability.
