I saw this deal and could not pass it up. I previously read reviews on Mizani and Affirm relaxers before buying. The butter blend formula is not as harsh on your hair than the regular formulas. The tub is large so you will be the only one using it, you might want to rethink buying something so large. I made the mistake of buying it a second time and I was the only one using the relaxer. After the initial relaxer, I had to throw it away because it had gotten old. I love the shampoo and conditioner. My hair was straight and soft after using all of the products. The base really works and I did not feel any burning, while applying the relaxer and smoothing it in my hair. I have since moved on to Phytospecific relaxers, because I wanted a relaxer that was as gentle as possible to my hair. I wasn't taking care of my hair and took a break from relaxers for a year. I would still recommend Mizani to those that are not afraid of lye based relaxers.

i love this line. personally, i buy the mild perm. but this is still a great line and the shampoo makes my hair feel like there is conditioner in it.

I just wanted to take the time to write a review on this product. I still have to use this relaxer a few more times before I can call it my favorite, but so far so good. I did the whole transition to natural thing for about two years. For different reasons, I decided that I wanted a relaxer (my choice!). I wanted my hair bone straight but after a while, I decided to "texlax" it by just keeping it on my hair for under the time recommended (I had course, thick kinky hair and I kept it on for time time recommended for fine/normal hair using regular strength). Alright so all in all, it did the job. The whole relaxer process seemed to keep my hair in a somewhat safe condition (regardless everyone knows if you use any relaxer your hair is going to be somewhat damaged from the process). I enjoyed using the scalp protector--I didn't feel any burns at all during the relaxer process. I did not use the hair protector because it has been a minute since I previously relaxed my hair. I do plan on using it next time I relax. The relaxer itself did not take long at all to process my hair. I tested a small section of my hair to see if it made it straight...which it did so if you are looking for a relaxer to do that well it did. When I use to relax, I use to do shampoo/condition. This particular relaxer calls for conditioning with a normalizing or neutralizing conditioner and then using a neutralizing shampoo. While I was nervous about doing this, I went ahead and followed their directions and my hair came out alright. No hairs falling out or anything. Finally I used the microfusion oil treatment and after rinsing it out, it left my hair nice and soft, though not as soft as a deep conditioner but it was alright to me. All in all, I would recommend this product to a friend and definitely use again.
